Emergency Medical Care in Informal Housing Communities

Man holds a child, with two other children nearby. Background shows a sign with "Save Kids Trust." Setting is in a small room; mood is neutral.

Pranit, a hardworking father of three from Uttar Pradesh, came to Jaipur in search of a better life. He works long hours in a cloth factory, earning just enough to pay rent and feed his family of five.

One afternoon, while his children were playing at home, a sudden accident turned his world upside down. His six-year-old son Tejas fell and hit his head badly. Blood started flowing, and Pranit, terrified and helpless, rushed him to the Save Kids Trust Clinic.

At the clinic, Tejas immediately received first aid and medical care — without any charge. The bleeding was controlled, and the little boy was safe.

With tears in his eyes, Pranit thanked the team for being there when he had nowhere else to turn. For a father struggling to make ends meet, that moment of compassion meant everything. He was thankful for all help he received.

Side story: These photos were taken a day later when Tejas came in for bandage change. The actual day of the event, everyone was engaged in their duties and there was no time to take photos! Maybe that is why we got Tejas’s cute smile in his solo photo.

Dr. Saini shared that our clinics now have a reputation in our communities as ‘first stop for emergencies”. Fabulous!
